Scanners

I have two scanners a Motorola Radius M1225 4 channel (m43dgc90e2aa) attached to a TrainTenna Vertical Outdoor Base Antenna (top 39') at home and a Uniden BC125AT with a TrainTenna 5/8 Wave Mobile Antenna for the car.

Home Scanner

This is permanently setup at home and has the capacity to record 24/7. On the best of days I can just pickup M743 the local coming down the Bainbridge sub when he gets to the GF&A connection that is 17 miles away. I have not been able to clearly pick up the Lloyd DD about the same distance the other direction however other than as static. Most the time I can't make out the traffic from the yard at 14mi or Adams St at 11mi. There are wierd times however when I pick up traffic on the Dothan/Thomasville subs headed to/from the Rice Yard.

    There was the one crazy night where I got a clip of the Greenville DD (48 mi?) but that was a fluke.
