Carrot strips
1 Tbl Corn Starch
1 Cup Cold Water Paper towels cut into 1 1/2 - 2 wide inch strips.
Any squeeze type bottle, (you can wash and use an empty mustard or ketchup bottle)
A drop of food coloring (optional)

Dissolve cornstarch in water and boil till thick. Transfer to squeeze bottle and add coloring. Lay out towel strips unfolded and place a dots on one side spaced appropriatly. Place seeds on dots and fold over.

Alternative for square foot gardening. Just use 2 paper towels, one as a base one as a cover. Put 16 dots on a towel then put the seeds on the dots and cover over it. Lay the whole thing in a square and cover with a light covering of soil.

Results
This worked well over the 2011-2012 winter with Red Cored Chanteny, Nantes and Danvers.
