City Status
Recognised by everyone but only in the city. Except for the
following City Status is recorded by number of traits, not specific names.
Status traits which grant positions in the city:
- Seneshal Equivelent to 2 traits. Only given by the Prince. May not be taken away by anyone but the
Prince. Lost if the Prince falls. By granting this status trait to an induvidual the Prince recognizes this induvidual
as his Right Hand. Each Prince should define what this entails. Possible dutys include: Recognizing and Acknowledgeing
Progeny, Acting as a laison with the Primogen, being the Prince's public spokesman and PR man, grant or remove City
Status, controlling a certain aspect of the city's influences, or any other power assigned to the Prince. Only one
induvidual should ever have this trait at a time. Must have Camarilla Status: Elder.
- Sheriff Equivelent to 1 trait. Only given by Prince. May not be taken away by anyone but the Prince.
Lost if Prince falls. By granting this status trait the Prince recognizes this induvidual as his enforcer and personal
strong arm. The Sherriff can grant the Negative City Status trait Anarch to any induvidual who hinders him from carring
out the Princes orders. More than one induvidual may have this trait at a time, if that is the case only the one with the
most status overall can grant the trait Anarch to miscreants. Must have Camarilla Status: Ancilla.
- Keeper of the Elysium Equivelent to 1 trait. Only given by Prince. May be removed by Prince or 4
Primogen working togeather. Lost if the Prince Falls, but may be reconfirmed by a majority of the Primogen for the
duration of a Praxis war. By granting this trait to an induvidual the Prince gives the induvidual the authority to use
violence on Elysium grounds to restrain those who would break the Masquerade or violate the rules of the Elysium. This
authority does not extend beyond the Elysium grounds. The Keeper may grant the Negative City Status trait Anarch to any
induvidual that violates the Elysium, including those who "assist" him in restraining miscreants by violating the rules
of the Elysium themselves. More than one induvidual may have this trait at a time, if that is the case only the one with
the most status overall can grant the trait Anarch to miscreants. Must have Camarilla Status: Elder.
- Harpy Equivelent to 1 trait. Given only by a majority of the Primogen (minimum of 3 if there is less
than 6 Primogen). May only be removed by an equal or greater number of Primogen. The Harpy may grant or remove any 1
City Status trait except the 4 position traits (Sheriff, Seneshal, Keeper, Harpy) per session from any number of
induviduals in the game. Note this is more powerful than the Prince! They may remove the Negative city Trait Anarch!
Only one induvidual should have the Status Harpy at a time. Changes to status made by the Harpy must be spread by word of
mouth in game and do not take effect until the beginning of the next game session. Must have Camarilla Status: Elder.
Negative City Status traits:
- Anarch Equivelent to -1 trait. May be self bestowd (but only once). This trait designates that an
induvidual has committed some act of rebellion against the established authority, but not the Camarilla as a whole. It
may be granted only by the Prince, Sheriff, Keeper of Elysium and Harpy. Only the Prince and Harpy can remove it.
Whenever two induviduals with this trait use status against each other this trait is counted as a positive trait and all
position traits are counted as negative. An induvidual may have this trait multiple times. Anyone who has 3 City Status
Anarch traits automatically acquires the Camarilla Status trait Anarch, the equivelent of the Flaw Noteriety.
The Prince can give or take 1 City Status per Camarilla Status he has per session. Note: Acknowledged and Regognized do not count towards this total.
Any 3 Primogen working togeather can give 1 trait of City Status at a temporary (for the session only) cost of 2 City Status or 2 Camarilla Status from each Primogen. This cost does not effect the Primogens ability to bid the status later in the session
, it only limits the amount of Status they can grant or take away.
Any 4 Primogen working togeather can take away 1 trait of City Status at a temporary (for the session only) cost of 2 City Status or 2 Camarilla Status from each Primogen. This cost does not effect the Primogens ability to bid the status later in the se
ssion, it only limits the amount of Status they can grant or take away.
The Harpy can give or take 1 trait of City Status per Primogen per session. (if there are 4 Primogen the Harpy can give or take a total of 4 Status traits per session).
The Shariff can give the Stauts Trait: Anarch to anyone who refuses to accompany him to the Prince. He may do this only once per person per session.
