The Traditions and My Laws
The First Tradition: The Masquerade
Thou shalt not reveal thy true nature to
those not of the Blood. Doing such shall renounce
they claims of Blood
Concerning The First Tradition: The Masquerade
The Masquerade is the means of our survival. By breaking the Masquerade you threaten not only your life but mine and that of every Kindred in the world.
The First Tradition applies to both Mortals and Supernatural beings. Mages, Lupines, and all other beings not of the Blood are as much a threat to our kind as Mortals. Dealing with them endangers all Kindred. Revealing yourself to any creature not
of the Blood, no matter its origins, will be punished in accordance with the Traditions.
The Second Tradition: The Domain
Thy domain is thine own concern. All
others owe they respect while in it. None may
challange thy word while in thy domain.
Concerning The Second Tradition: The Domain
The city of Jacksonville and the adjoining towns are My Domain. Within My Domain I will give others privaliges and responsibilities, but this does not usurp my word in My Domain nor the respect due me.
I will assign Feeding Grounds and lesser Domains within My Domain. Feeding Grounds are a privilege, Domains are a responsibility.
Feeding Grounds: I may also assign Feeding Grounds in my Domain. These are exclusive Grounds, only the one to whom they are granted, the Elder of the Domain in which the are located and myself may feed therein. All other who feed therein violat e My Domain.
The Third Tradition: The Progeny
Thou shall only Sire another with the
premission of thine elder. If thou createst another
without thine Elder's leave, both thou and thy
Progeny shall be slain.
Concerning the Third Tradition: The Progeny
Kindred Progeny: Progeny may only be Embraced with my permission. In addition any Kindred brought by you or accompanying you into this city who have not been Acknowledged by another recognized Camarilla Prince will be considered your Progeny created without permission. All Progeny will be presented to me immediately aft er their Embrace and be made familiar with the Traditions and My Laws.
Ghouls: Ghouls are to be considered Progeny, as well as a violation of the First Tradition. Ghouls will not be created nor brought in to my city without my permission, to do so will bring the same punishment as the creation of Kindred Progeny. G
houls may not be released, there sins are thine to endure for eternity.
The Fourth Tradition: The Accounting
Those thou create are thine own children.
Until thy Progeny shall be Realeased, thou shall
command them in all things. Their sins are
thine to endure.
Concerning The Fourth Tradition: The Accounting
The Release of all Progeny will take place in my presence with my
approval and their sire is responsible for them in all matters until that
time. I expect all Progeny to be taught the Traditions and My Laws. Sires retain the Right of Destruction over their Progeny until they are formally released in my presence. However their sins are still the responsibility of their sires in my eyes even af
ter their release. You are responsible for your Progeny for all eternity in some fashion so choose wisely.
The Fifth Tradition: Hospitality
Honor one another’s domain. When thou
comest to a foreign city, thou shall present
thyself to the one who ruleth there. Without the
word of acceptance, thou art nothing.
Concerning The Fifth Tradition: Hospitality
All Kindred and Ghouls shall be presented to me at the following times: Creation, Release, and Entrance unto my city. Any who cometh unto my city and fail to obey the Tradition of Hospitality will be considered enemies unto me and those in my Domain. T hose who knowingly harbor unacknowledged Kindred will be treated likewise. Rewards will be given for discovering such violators. All who live in my city for any length of time know how to contact me or my agents, attempts to contact me, should I be unava ilable will be taken into consideration and aid by local Kindred in presenting newcomers will be acknowledged.
I do not hold those Clan Gangrel to this Tradition; but be warned, for any who are unacknowledged who commit a crime in my City there is only one punishment; Final Death.
The Sixth Tradition: Destruction
Thou art forbidden to destroy another of thy
kind. The right of destruction belongeth only to
thine Elder. Only the Elder amoung thee shall
call the Blood Hunt.
Concerning The Sixth Tradition: Destruction
The Right of Destruction is mine and mine alone. Only after I have called a Blood Hunt may you assault another Kindred. I will not tolerate "accidental" deaths of the Kindred in my city. I will investigate "mysterious" and "sudden" disappe
arances of all Kindred. Kindred are encouraged to notify me when they leave my city, so that "sudden departures, destination unknown" do not become a regular occurrence.
The Camarilla and the Sabbat
This is a Camarilla City. The Sabbat are our enemies and they and their supporters will not be tolerated. I do not ask your support of the Camarilla but if you can not decisively declare yourself against the Sabbat I suggest you leave my city quickly.
There are no neutrals in this war and Final Death is the only answer to the Sabbat problem.
Anarchs
The ideas, philosophy and words of the Anarchs will be tolerated in my
city. But remember the more anti-Prince, anti-Elder your rhetoric is the
harsher your punishment will be should you violate my Laws. I will not
tolerate anti-Camarilla rhetoric. I will listen to your grievances and if
so requested in a civilized manner I will discuss them with you at a time
convenient for us both but I will repay violence with your destruction. Do
not think my tolerance is weakness, I mearly respect freedom of expression. Do not use my city to hide from Blood
Hunts in other cities, you will be returned from whence you came with a stake in your chest.
The Tremere Chantry
The Tremere Chantry is inviolate, even by myself. Any Kindred who threatens the security of the Chantry itself will be given to Clan Tremere to do with as they will. The act of seeking the location of the Chantry threatens the Chantry and will be punis
hed. A violation of its perimeter, in body, thought or by senses, both natural and unnatural, by you or another under your direction will be cause for your death, if the Tremere can come up with nothing worse....
The Military
The military installations and bases in the area are off limits to all Kindred. You may feed on out of uniform military personal off base but do not kill them. There is nothing for you on the bases and any attempt to enter them will cause your destruction. Do not try and manipulate the members of the military or its employees for your advantage, this too will lead to your destruction. Do not test me on this, I have the complete support of the Primogen and the Camarilla in this matter and it will be a race between myself and the Justica rs as to which will destroy you first.
Clan Assimite
The contracting of Assimites against members of the Camarilla is forbidden by the Camarilla. Should this be done and the assassination succeed or fail the employer shall be punished not the assassin.
A word to Clan Assimite: I will pay twice what the employer did if upon completion of your contract against a Kindred of my city you eliminate the employer and bring me proof of your contract.
Clan Giovanni
The Clan Giovanni is welcome in my city as long as they remain out of
Camarilla politics. Do not involve yourself and I will punish those who
try and involve you. The Elders of Clan Giovanni will not find it
difficult to find a replacement for you in my city. It would beoove
you if after your Introduction I never see you nor hear your name
again.
Clan Setite
I will tolerate the presence of Setites in my city but you will be watched, carefully. This Clan has proved time and time again that they are not to be trusted.
To the other Kindred of my city: You are warned of the deviousness of the Setites. Do not come to me for aid in seeking release from them should you willing associate with them and fall to their devices.
Elysia
Elysia are areas of my domain that will be free from the taint of violence. The rules of the Elysium are quite simple.
The destruction of large amounts of property, mass murder, the instigation of riots, the deaths of prominant members of society or any other act of violence which makes national news will not be tolerated. The commission of these acts will be considered breach of the Firt Tradition, no matter how well your involvement is covered up.
