Vince's Skills For purposes of casting: Lighting.
A bolt of lighting strikes the target. This is the minimal stress on self, sure fire way to cast it and assumes Vince doest not have his staff with him.
Type: Lightnings Evocation, Attack
Power: 6 Shifts.
Caster Stress: 1 Mental Stress.
Control: Roll dice + Discipline of 4. Need a 6 or higher. This roll also counts as the attack roll vs the Targets Athletics.
Target: One target line of sight
Duration: One exchange
Opposed By: Target Athletics skill or magical blocks.
Effect: Inflicts physical stress equal to Weapon:6 +any additional shifts from the Control roll.

Effect: The target gets the aspect "Distracted"
Variations: Additional shifts could be used for duration.

2 person Quicksand.
Vince causes the ground to turn to mud swallowing his opponents and drowning/suffocating them.
Type: Mud Evocation, Attack
Power: 6 Shifts.
Caster Stress: 1 Mental Stress.
Control: Roll Discipline. Target to not fail = 6. This roll also counts as the attack roll.
Target: 2 targets line of sight
Duration: One exchange
Opposed By: Target's Might (to pull themselves out of the mud)
Effect: Inflicts physical stress equal to Weapon:3 + shifts from Control roll vs Targets Might.
Variations: Only 1 target would be a Weapon:6 + shifts attack.

Effect:A heavy fog fills the area. Putting the Aspect "Fogged In" on the zone. That can be tagged to hide.dd

Downpour
Vince causes a short intense shower to make everything wet.
Type: Vapor Evocation, Maneuver
Power: 3 Shifts
Caster Stress: 1 Mental Stress (Conviction:5 +1 Specialization in Power Vapors)
Control: Roll Disciple. Target=3
Duration: One exchanges
Effect:The scene gets the aspect "Slippery when Wet".

Mud Choke
Thick mud fills the targets mouth and windpipe causing them to choke over several exchanges.
Type: Mud Evocation, Offensive block adjudicated as a grapple
Power: 8 Shifts (3 for effect, 5 for duration)
Caster Stress: 3 Mental Stress (Conviction:6)
Control: Roll Disciple. Target=8
Duration: 6 exchanges
Opposed By: Targets Endurance, possibly magical blocks.
Effect: On round one a grapple of strength 3 takes place. On subsequent rounds the target rolls Endurance. Failure to beat the Power (3) means the target takes 1 physical stress from choking. This is the only roll involved, it does not go away until the duration ends. See my post on the forum.

Splashdown
The ground softens into mud allowing falls from a greater height
Type: Mud Evocation, Maneuver
Power: 3 Shifts
Caster Stress: 1 Mental Stress
Control: Roll Disciple. Target=3
Duration: One exchange
Effect:The scene gets the aspect "Soft Landings?".

Bright Will 'o Wisp
A bright ball of lighting hovers lighting the zone.
Type: Lightning Evocation, Maneuver
Power: 3 Shifts + duration
Caster Stress: 1 Mental Stress if 5 Power or less
Control: Roll Disciple. Target=Power
Duration: One exchange + duration
Effect:The scene gets the aspect "Well Lit".

Effect: even in the strongest of storms, raindrops avoid the spellcaster. The aspect "Rain repellant" is placed on the target.

Name: Cloudkill
Type: Air Evocation, Attack
Power: 8 shifts - 5 weapon, 2 for zone, 1 for duration
Duration: 2 exchanges
Area: One zone
Effect: Produces poisonous cloud (Weapon 5 attack) on an entire zone for 2 exchanges which will then dissipate.

Name: Faerie Fire
Type: Spirit or Fire Evocation, Maneuver
Power: 5 shifts - 3 for maneuver, 2 for extended duration.
Duration: 3 exchanges
Area: One target
Resisted by: Athletics
Effect: The target gets engulfed in faerie fire making them very conspicuous and easier to hit. Target has the aspect "Outlined in faerie fire" placed on them.
