Embarked right next to the water fall. Can see Hemetite in the wall along with flux several levels down, also two layers of sand. Got everyone and everything underground and sealed in in record time. Butchered the yak and mule already also. Minimal food production and ability to brew.

Year 1986
Spring
The dead are here. Nothing to do but turtle up inside. Turns out its just one guy.
Summer
7 dwarves, no access to migrants and under siege things are gong slow. Three drop puts and two smasher built.

Spring
The undead left. Ral elves showed up Oh not it didn't leave, it just fell down the waterfall and ended up in the river way down there. This is pathetic. Dwarves cant get anything done on the surface because the elf corpse is 7 levels down the waterfall in the river. The keep getting interrupted.
Summer
Destroyed the corpse. There is just some stupid this game does that is nor worth dealing with. Would be sweet if he could capture and tame elephants. The undead came back almost as soon as we got rid of the last one. I think the surface might be secure. Undead had an encounter with a milk fry and vanished. No migrants. Started smelting iron, its going to be a long haul since we haven't found coal yet.
Fall
Caravan came, we wont have anything to trade. Major progress on surface defense. Overhang floor and walls done. converting to fortification.
Winter
and the undead are back. But the are apparently only passing through. Walling in a portion of the land across the river.

Spring
Elves came back to trade. Still have nothing. Really need migrants. 19 migrants! Oh joy, an artifact bucket.
Summer
Dead are back again. Built a gate wrong. Will have to abandon the surface. Over 70 undead, mostly elves show the are stealthy. The managed to get across and killed all the grazers. Dumped 33 of them into the river. Not sure what do with them now since the wont drown. Letting the undead in a few at a time and system is working well. Smashed 14 so far. Got a few others with stonewall traps. Cleanup and rest traps between waves.
Fall
Missed that the siege was over, going to miss the caravan. Of course there are still undead all over the map so we start dying because dwarves run right to the undead. We lost 6. The merchants were slaughtered in the moat. Migrants come. Building a pit of the caged undead.
Winter
One of the snuck in. No someone started a fight that killed 11 somehow and wounded 4, no undead inside. Sealing everything till its sorted out. Eliminated all the undead by thanksgiving. Now to clean up our mostly self inflicted loses. Pitted a spearman, didn't have the lower door locked. Menial Datansterus with a steel axe chopped doff it head! Hero.

Year 1989
Spring
Undead are back. Haven't finished cleaning from the last attack. False alarm they are just passing by. Back to work. More migrants to make up the losses Elves brought us some cool animals, a giant tortoise, a honey badger and a jaguar. Started making a guildhall/temple level because the farmer need a hall. Double thickness walls for engraving

Putting the clothworks right next to the pigtail farms to speed up production.
Fall
New traps aren't being built. Guess who is back. They brought Monster and Catastrophes of Reg whatever those are. Well the catastrophe's are able to get inside the courtyard somehow. Tried to take out the turtle but it kills two if them. Go turtle. Another one got in a killed the turtle. It got the hunting dog on the walls too. Wish i knew how it got in. No it didn't kill the dog, the dog is unchained in the moat now. Undead eliminated. The only loss was a dog, the tortoise and a food guild. Need to figure out how they got into the courtyard.
Winter
, Produced enough for two full iron armed squads. The dead are back. A grim butcher got in kill one. Closing the courtyard. Maybe its the trees in the moat. Maybe they are climbing the trees then jumping down.

Spring
Almost done with this batch of undead. There is a butcher in the courtyard we have to take care of, or not he is gone. Cleaning up the inside before opening the gates.
Summer
Found the caverns. Actually level 2 passed right through level 1 and only found it because a pit comes down to level 2 from it. Took the lull in attacks to build a wall across most the map to channel the undead into a large pit trap.
Fall
The dead are back. New pit isn't ready. Managed to kill all but 4. One seems stuck up in a tree the other three are in the pond in the pasture. Might have to go out and get them. Had to bring out a miner to drain part of the pond to get to them. The war jaguar and gorilla were helpful
Winter
All dead executed in the smasher, cleanup continues. And more undead arrive. One of them managed to get to the watch dog. The last set could only fire arrows at it. Killed the last 3. Building a rhino sanctuary in the caverns.

Spring
A werelizard. And crap its at the rear entrances. Possibly infected 3. Relocating some of the guard dogs it shouldn't have gotten that close.
Summer
The undead are back. Let see how the new pit works, not at as as the go down the side and avoid it. Rhino calves! They got on the tavern tower again. That shouldn't be possible.
Fall
Undead are back just in time to stop the caravan from coming. No only one who fled. Migrants. Put almost all of them into a crossbowmen squad.
Winter
Taking Oct off. One of the outdoor food guild managed to drown himself while fishing. FB Vilela Lenipepiware Cetha Camaba (lots of names) a scaly mayfly with spittle has arrived. We cant let it disrupt our rhino breeding program. Killed it without serious injury.

Year 1992
Spring
its spring, the birds are singing, the flowers are blooming, the undead are visiting. Have some idea how the are coming over the wall. I don't think they should be able to but will rebuild it later. Lost an number of dwarves who insisted on going to work in the maze, despite not being allowed to. Captured nearly 20 in the surface trap, thought they had avoided it completely. There 4 left the bottom of the waterfall along with one of the food guild who wont drown. Werelizard.

More migrants. Found coal while digging more bedrooms. Metalsmiths want a guildhall. Menial transformed into a wee lizard in the middle of the main hall. Thankfully he was struck down quickly. FH Ark, M Lim

Need to contain the infected before the 15th. Two were infected, they were executed.
Fall
A werelizard came but fell in the river. Rhino breeding/capture is up to 4 trained war rhinos and 8 calves. Lancedyellls has become tied to us. Sent a squad to investigate a nearby "abandoned" tower. Stakecut has been founded near us. Nothing was found by the explorers. Sending them to raid the occupied tower, with the war rhinos.
Winter
The dead are back. And then they leave. Hillocks of Masionrack founded and tied to us. Squad returns. They struck down the necromancer and a number of undead. Sending them back with support to raze the site. Starting to order steel armor. Shovecloister has been founded and tied to us. Looted all kinds of stuff from Stockadetree and destroyed it. A wereanteater came, one possibly infected. Elf undead ambushed us. Dumped some 19 into the river. There is a wereanteater ghost running around. Wereanteater has a strange mood while imprisoned.

Wealthymirror has been founded and liked to us. Undead are back. What is an armadillo boar? It running around the surface. Also managed to capture not just a hippo but a Giant Hippo. eliminated the undead easily. Found more caverns. One migrant. A werekoaloa. Raising the pop cap to 100.
Fall
Rebuilt the entrances so there are wider corridors.
Winter
Stopped another undead incursion. Tradedream looks to us now also. Sending 2 squads to raze Glovedworld FB Ayanu a hairy slug with poisonous vapors. The military are back but weakened, some were captured, lost some war rhinos.i FB chased a swallow and left/ Hillock of Cavernochre looks to us now. FB Ungeg Shodukmukar Goshistegur a blob of water with deadly dust has come.

Year 1994
Spring
Holiday. Holiday interrupted by undead. They brought a lot of monsters of Reg this time, might be a different group. The monsters seem to be trap void. Hillocks of Lashedtone looks to us now. Elves arrived just after we eliminate the undead. FB Gomok Nedkunon a scale fruit bat with deadly spittle has come. Since it flies its going to get in. Game crash. Back to before the undead attack, FB Ungeg is still in caverns. Undead. Monsters of Reg and such. Most fighting taking place after the maze by the militia. FB Quula a vomit humanoid with deadly spittle. Killed it before it could seriously hurt the rhinos. Promoted to a barony. We have become quite knowledgeable rhino trainers.
Summer
A single elf corpse ambushed us. Eliminated it. FB Garetho Iciconibo a humanoid of flame. The Fbs flames (it breathes fire) and smoke from the burning cavern cause us to retreat. Many rhinos lost. Now its just hanging out in the remains of the rhino pasture killing the occasional dwarf who goes to pickup equipment. It might be crippled, it wont move. Dropped a section of cavern on it.
Fall
We lost all the rhinos and have to start over. Oops, traded away an artifact. Boarddoors has been incorporated into our holdings. Sending 30 dwarfs to raze Glovedworld and recover our prisoners. Soldiers have returned, it did not go well. Lost 6 and had 6 more imprisoned. We did catch a cave crocodile.
Winter
Ambushed again. Lost half the main squad and all but 2 of the crossbow men as dwarves try to pickup equipment through the undead in the maze. One of our dwarves has become a necromancer

Spring
Dead are back in force. Elves come to warn us about cutting down trees in the middle of an undead siege.

Took a look at legends. We are being attacked by multiple towers.

  • The constructive bowels: 1987, 1988, 1989, 1990, 1991, 1992, 1993, 1994, 1995. Channelrhymed: 2 dwarves, 82 animated dwarves.
  • The Contingent Gems: 1984, 1985, 1987, 1991. We attacked them in 1992 twice and destroyed them
  • The Fangs of Routing : 1988. Densooth 22 elves, 3 dwarves

    The necromancer has become mayor. Had a holiday and recovery session.
    Fall
    After the caravan left sent 30 dwarves to destroy Glovedworld. And as soon as they are gone a giantess comes, and we discover the 3rd cavern. The giantess ran into the stragglers leaving on the raid and was severely injured. Sent the rest of the military out to finish off (Osmoz Gornounlo Rukestsor) Found gold, way down at the 3rd caverns. FB Lim Orsharshadmal a monitor with deadly dust. It cant reach us.

    Micro managing a hemetite dig in th aquifer. A Wereskink, dead ,1 infected one killed. Wispersacks incorporated into our holdings.

    We have been made a county. Our military finally came back. 7 dead, 14 imprisoned. It was the 84 mistakes of Oarlancer that really caused the problem. No one was infected by the Wereskink.

    Well is overflowing all over the forges. The FB decides to move finally and invades the forges too. Another Fb shows up on level 3. Killed the first one but dust and bodies are all over the forge level. Count at least 17 bodies. We are down to 35, a new low. The forge level is a disaster. Water is still filling the level below, we will have some large pasture areas. The other FB a one-eyed falcon with a poisonous sting at least looks to be severally injured, Usu Devsemsewat Pestrat Quazi

    Elven corpses again. Thankfully it was only about 7. Dispatched them but lost the guard animals.

    Spring Improving cavern security by building some ceiling traps. Increased the path width from the surface down to the main level.
    Summer
    Built another bridge across the canyon lower down. Will cover it in.

    Undead back in force. Dwarves around a hundred of them. New surface smashing pit working well. Took out over 40 in just two smashes. It looks like 2 of the pressure plates might not be working however. They still got in to the taver nad killed the watch pig. I have no idea how the are doing it, its not up the stairs because those cage traps remian empty. Next attempt will be to put traps along the entire roof. Last surface smasher group destroyed only 24 left (a few might have been taken out by weapons traps). one of the made it onto the main walls also as soon as we started watching the maze, killing 4 marksdwarves who had been there the whole fight. Day 18 all undead eliminated. 5 of our own dead, and one pig. Moron dwarves keep entering the water near the falls, being swept over and drown, at least 4 this season. Bloodsports, tossing a tiger into the pit with one of the undead. Or not because the door to the chamber was unlocked. Built a sorter for the arms/weapons on the forge level. It helps alot when you check the usable option.

    Spring Elves brought us a polar bear.
    Summer
    Real live humans attacked us accompanied by Water Bufflao and an elf. They are all recruits except one wrestler. They dont stand a chance. Maybe the do they are raising undead inside the walls. Or maybe its our own idiot necromancer, time for someone to die. Constructing a drain for the base of the waterfall to try and recover all our steel. Herders arent doing their job, rhinos reverting to wild in the middle of the fort.

    Massive poult slaughter. Party in the tavern for everyone. A giantess Mata Nemenirol Abiliesmin has come to ruin the party. and she is tossed into the river by the trap system but was able to climb out. She dies. Opened the drain. Now to let the water flow off the map.
    Winter
    Drained enough water to collect items and bodies from the drain.

    Year 1998
    Spring Undead elves are back. Humans too. The two group pretty mcuh destroyed each other. Floding new rhino psture. The millstone stopped because a gear mechanism was overthrown by a dwarf possesed by a ghost.

    FB Uthgur Okbodlur a skinless money with dealy dust. Lower caverns. Cant reach us.

    Spring Holiday. Adding additional hoods and cloaks to military uniforms. Rebuilt the tavern in stone. Stared digging a mist generator above the main hall and found a new vien of hemetite. And stop because I have no plan to power it. Started work on a new tavern outside and wwatewheel powered mister.
    Summer
    Stopped the mister its killing the fps. FB Wara a quadraped of water with deadly spittle. Removng wall and going after it. Dided from one punch by a TG Rovod. He literally punched its head off. Statue!! The connection of fountains. Rovod is striking down wara. Recoved several bodies from the caverns that were struck down long ago. Expanding the occupided caverns.

    Humans and goblins have come to lay siege. They didnt last long. Some Woshipnotched Eye's did make it past the traps but were killed by our troops. Didnt even watch. Carvan bypassed us because the gate wasnt open yet.
    Winter
    undead Elves. The weapon traps entering the maze toss bones all the wat across the canyon. This might explain some of the undead getting on the walls. FB Orngrim a 3 eyed lizard w a poisonus sting. Sending the military after it. Built a new royal dinaing room and decommed all the old ones. Fully transfered the tavern to the other side of the canyon.

    Year 2001
    Spring Duganother hole through teh aquifer and ran axles to power mister in new dianing rom. Had to add another waterwheel becuase there want quite enough power. Humans and goblins are abck in small numbers. went out and met them. Lost 3 and a pig. The humanoid sand FB Ufsmat with dealdy spittle has come. Two hits and it goes down. Diassembling the old tavern. Did it piece by peice and yet some aprt of it collapsed, This might be the cause of it always getting invaded.

    Moving the millstone and its power to stop the job cancelation spam, even though its not actually stopping

    Fighting started for no reason, dogs and dwarveds dead, blod and parts everywhere. Nearly half the fort injured. Swapped up a lot of teask to give none crafts people a chance to make somethng. Vastly increased the military. Rhino breeding progressing, three mothers gave birth.

    Spring Sent 10 dwarves to try and free the prionsers at gloveddworld, sent another ten to explore oilcarnages. And this is when a cyclops comes.
    Summer
    Nothing found in oilcarnages. Elected a necromancer mayor, locking all the books away. FB Baros Sarekostar a humanoidof obsidian with poisonois vapors. Killed it but it caused a lot of dwarves to be drowsey, ight not be good. Started diggig out more coal in the aquifer.
    Fall
    Dominion of Jade wants a temple. undead elves ambushed us, they got in the walls before we could close the gates and caught several dwarves outside. FB Ak Strastnaslozu Gugo Lat, a feathered scorpion with a pisonous sting.

    Year 2003
    Spring FB Nawara a humanoid of water with webs has come. This is a problem. Will lure it into the cealing collapse. And the levers arn't pulled in time. Just missed catching it in the hall smsher. Have all troops ready when it exists the maze as the last defense. Stesoktosid is given credit for the kill. 8 dead. Increasing security down there. Removng the up-down stair. Adding another hall smasher. Cutting off layers 2 and 3 entirely. Butchering is not happening.

    And he is infected. Sent to execution. Flooded some more pasture area.

    FB Efeye Irufayoba Gilafinecate a beakless eagle with poisonois gas. Gong to try the new smasher. It found a way into the temple level by flying bypassing our defenses. Lost two dwarves.

    Year 2004
    Spring A werelizrd. One possible infected. Not sure what this is. The Shepa Freestood the Confident's corpse has come. Sounds like and undead giant.. Migrants come while we are fighting the corpse. Yup the one guy was infected by the werelizard.
    Summer
    Sent out explorers. FB Onam a 3 eyed scorpion with a deadly sting. Killed by a single farmer with a shortsword. FF Zimeshurvad. Removed all labors from military trying to get them all in steel.
    Fall
    Explorers returned. The brought back a number of books Sending all miliar force (30+) to pillage the humans of Peacefultop. Sending lots of war Rhinos and dog also. Thy want a craftguild.
    Winter
    a weresking. We have only two dwarves in the military. it get inside the walls and goes after a rhino calf.

    Spring FB Ozob a theropod w a poisonous bite in the 2nd cavern layer. it left. an Ettin has come. Dumpe din the river. The Fb is back, and left. Adding neew outer walls to funnel attackers better.
    Summer
    A giantess after chasing some rhinos, also dumped in the river and drown. Raiders are back. We won and brought back a bunch of loot. It looks like no losses on our part.
    Fall
    A werecat comes while the merchants are present. No infected, one dead. GB Wothana Lathirinowe Eleriiki Efaci, a tortoise made of cat;s with dealy spittle. Killed by alone menial Oddomastis. As soon as the FB is done a forest titan Notononshen Onolzuglar comes, it webs and is made of flame. Could be a real problem. The merchants are walking right towards it. It seems unintereted in the merchats or us and is just meandering acorss the surface setting the forest on fire. Constant tree collapse is making things unplyable, fire has spread across the river. Titan wont even approach the defenses. Another FB Nekol Sarekostar Nglak a quadraped of crystal with webs in the second cavern layer. Maybe it will take out the therepod. Fire destroyed the west gate. The titan has cross the river upstream of us and is still headed east off the map.
    Winter
    nd then it turned around and entered the pasture area. Burned all our wood stockpile. its finally come in rage of the crossbowmen thenretreated and went after our beehives. andd then went into the tavern and recrossed the river just upstream of the waterfall. Too bad t didnt fall down. Its now retracing its steps west. Los two dwarves trying to entice it into the defenses, it shoots fire as well as webs. It finally came near us. Killed it with a lone crossbow bolt from CW kotlimul. Meanwhile it lookst like the newest FB did kill Fb Ozob. Fires are still raging on th surface. Going to rebuild the walls in stone as well as all the gates and smashers, the titan took out one gate and a pit trap already.

    Year 2006
    Spring The world has passed into the age of Heros

    Redesign of the outer works goes well. Unibmesir has inherited the barony. This looks like a second barony as the first one is still captured.
    Summer
    Still working on rebuilding in stone. Added a 3 story tower and new main gate. Removing old roof and fortifications. Rebuilding with blocks but runing out of diorite blocks, and then might run out of diorite altogeather. Flooding. Temple area and nobles level almost complelty submerged. looks like the river drain was removed the waterfall is pouring into the fort. The lever to close the flod gate is already submerged. Multiple dwarves are trapped on the temple level. Animal pastures unflooded but will have to dig new stairs to get to them. Sealing off the stairs down. Digging new stairs to the trapped dwarves. Saved the dwarves. I think the bridge got destroyed when some of the fortificaitons collapsed onto it. Flooding seems to be contianed but need to drain the layers that are flooded. Diggin some large passages to the edge of the map.

    Noble leel drain opened, lowered water level a bunch.
    Summer
    Noble levle filled before we could seal it off. Trying again with a large one close to the waterfall, ran into aquifer and had to delve deeper. FB ome Rethitape a 3 eyed cobra with a poisonoius bite in the 3rd cavern.

    Year 2007
    Spring Almost ready to open the drains. The plan is to open 2 drains on either side of the problem area and a third further awy to draw off as much water a spossible and get the main flood game lever pulled. Will also drop water stright down like anocean drain. Will assign eveyone to pull levers and build. Elves want us to cap tree cutting. F them. Got the lever pulled! We should be able to reclaim everything except one temple whose roof is now open to the waterfall. Success. Except for the one temple and the area under the water fall everything is drying out. Also exterior walls are done. 3 levels high now all out of blocks with fortficaitons and overhangs on top. Will perform gate tests. Dwarves are so dumb. Guy pulled the lever sealing off the residences, then ran out so he was on top the gate when it closed, killing him. He was also the last dwarf in the residence so no one can undo the lever. Raised the bridge to the taven and lost 3 dwarves because they decided to try and cross the top of the water fall on foot and got swept away.

    Its like watching lemmings. Thr go near the falls to do other work then jump right in. Down to 34 dwarves from 60 last year.

    Had a holiday.
    Winter
    Slaughtering animals left and right. Caged poults. Smashed geese that the owners are not around for. Killing semi-wild rhinos. 34 dwarves really isnt enough to get anything done. Minro projects are just waiting on someone to do them, little cleanup is being done.

    Year 2008
    Spring 18 migrants. We really needed them. Sending a squad to explore Sealembraced a nearby tower. The found nothing. Trying to divert the river and dig out a deeper pool a the top of the falls. Miner went over. Thankfully we built a door and stair down there ealier and he was able to get back in the fort.
    Summer
    wereskink. One of the ashers was bit. FB Stosbub a 3 eyed crab with a poisonous bite. FPs is overing at 10, it really sucks. FB was easily killed. FPs suddenly jumped to 45. Infected dwarf scheduled for execution.
    Fall
    Building some screw pumps to divert the water fall and make the upper pool deeper. fB Mutho Ngethackulur an eyeles bushtit. noxius secreations. Dont know what a bushtit is but it only took two dwarves to bring it down.

    Year 2098
    Spring We have a vampire.

    FB Zikath. Quadrped of coke with deadly dust. Reowrked the main corridor so everyone goes through the mist in the dining room. Another vampire murder.
