Receiver piles do not have to be next to the quantum one. Build them on other levels for items like stone.
Don't quantum stockpile food or booze (or anything else in barrels)

Small stockpile with no barrels. Larger one with barrels that only accepts from links. Give from small to large.

Corpses are for dwarves and other itelligent creatuers, place near graveyard.
Refuse -> Corpses is for other things
