Year 1068

Winter
All the rivers are frozen. Don't see the waterfall. We struck rock 5 levels down, and it continues 13 more with no sign of an aquifer. Starting main dig.

Year 1069

Spring
We got a central spiral dug and everything underground then went up one level for farms and immedatly broke into the aquifer. Lost 4 dwarves in the flooding. Farms are started. We have an outer wall. New dig started avoiding the aquifer.
Summer
8 migrants. They are on the other side of the river and we have to bridge it for them to get to us. Broke into the aquifer again. Floode all the new digs. Abandoneing the fort.
