Year 1069

Autumn
Found the aquifer 4 levels down. Dug a room for the embark good. Got the citadel in place. Removed the wagon. Farms running, dorm built. Outer walls and moat up. Stared on aquifer. got one level dug.
Winter
Completed two layers of aquifer. Citadel i2nd level is almost closed in.

Year 1070

Spring
Reached the bottom of the aquifer, broke into the cavern while digging a drain. Moved one level down underneath them. Two migrants arrive just as we finish the aquifer dig.
Summer
While we wait for the last of the water to drain we start rebuilding the surface works in marble. Moved the horses down, we already have a foal. Water isn't draining very fast. started making marble blocks.
Autumn
2 levels of bedrooms dug. Will use the first for hospital/offices. Drinkworks dug.2 levels of bedrooms dug. Will use the first for hospital/offices. Drinkworks dug.
Winter
Mealworks, Deathworks, Stoneworks, Clothworks, Crystalworks, Smasher, Temple all built.

Year 1071

Spring
24 migrants arrived.
Summer
9 more migrants. Built both internal and external taverns. Added two bedroom levels. Citadel is rebuilt in stone, except the actual floor on level 2.
Autumn
9 more migrants. Made 32 coffins not coffers. Dug several more bedrooms layers. Moving the farms down below. Surface fortifications are almost done. Need to finish roofing them in.
Winter
A werecamel has come. It gets in the fort and we kill it before any of the gates are even closed. Looks like 3 infected. Actually 4 one died. FB Orshar Arelkun Zukthist Amas a feathered hadrosaurid in the caverns. Broke into the aquifer while making an execution chamber. Flooded core down several levels before getting it sealed off.

Year 1072

Summer
Drown the three werecamels. Finally finished the surface fortifications. Built outer walls to give us warning on werecreatures.
Autumn
Found magnetite. Its all mixed in to the caverns and the second level. We have to build floors between each pillar.
Winter
The Fb came back. It took out 10 before we killed it. Digging the magnetite s very slow.

Year 1073

Spring
Flooded part of the caverns getting the magnetite. Two more migrants arrived. Building a well and a drain for the caverns.
Summer
Well is filling. Caverns draining. 3 more migrants. We aren't producing anywhere near enough cloth to keep up with demand. A giant Taron Eshimostath Gostangtecak ... has come. Two dwarves rush out and die. We pelt the giant with bolts until it hides in the tavern then send the infantry to finish it off. Well self shut off during the fighting. Ordered marble statues of Orshar Arelkun Zukthist Amas and the giant.
Autumn
We will be made a Barony. Two more migrants have arrived. FB Tusnom a skinless tortoise has come. We kill it with ease. Barons quarters are done. Vastly expanding farms to make more cloth.
Winter
We found a dozen or so artifacts left by the giant. Ran out of magnetite and iron. Back to the caverns. Expanded the tombs top accommodate some slabs. 3 more migrants. We managed to find a lot more magnetite in the caverns.

Year 1074

Spring
A weremouse has come. It fled. We discovered a hole in the defenses, and smashed aa dwarf when the main gate reopened. We are falling behind on butchering turkeys
Summer
Added a new tower and realigned one of the outer gates to cover the hole in the defenses. Started making steel armor.
Autumn
2 more migrants. Rebuilt outer walls in stone. Included some fishing areas.
Winter
A giant, Ade Inireiye Emepewulema has come. After killing all the local kangaroo and porcupines it came after us. Crossbowmen barely shot at it, and infantry dropped it in to the moat the followed it. Two dwarf died. Completed both east and west towers.

Year 1075

Spring
FB Ngogngo Dorku a skinless anteater. Again several dwarves who decide to be heros when everyone else is assembling safely die. Then as a group the FB is slaughtered. The well overflowed. Thankfully we already dug a drain to the edge of the map above the pressure plate level so no damage could be done.
Summer
We struck gold well done below the main dig. We sent and infantry and a xbow squad to raid the nearby goblins
Autumn
The raiders return. We were told there were less than 10 goblins before they left. What we weren't told was that there were 2,665 trolls.

FB Maga Bikdaithbi Ehrathsimo a one-eyed trantualla has come, but its in a part of the caverns we cant get to. Expanding entrance defenses in anticipation of goblin retaliation.
Winter
Converted the initial leather militia to metal.

Year 1076

Spring
Sent two squads to a smaller goblin settlement to pillage it. They came back rather quickly victorious. 12 migrants have arrived. Beefed up the military with 2 more squads.
Summer
3 more migrants. A FB Itat Itatavuz a towering featheed rhino has come it has webs. We meet it with the full force of out military and only lose 6.
Autumn
The Goblins arrive before the caravan. We killed 85 but lost 40. Half the remaing 20 are in the hospital. 6 more migrants will help.
Winter
FB Slalsto Uxduugsnor a three eyed lobster has come, with deadly dust. Sealing off the cavern entirely.

Year 1077

Spring
Recovery still in progress. Swapped a few dwarves to regular tasks. 10 more migrants. We are going to try to drop the cavern on the FB who is just hanging out but the aquifer may get in the way.
Summer
The goblins are back. There are only 13 of them. They manage to climb the outer walls. We kill a few who entered the fort and the rest leave. Cant drop the ceiling on the FB becaus of the aquifer. Adding fortifications to the outerwalls.
Autumn

Winter
The goblins are back in vast numbers. Half our military jumps from the incomplete fortificatrions ino the goblins and die. The goblins qucikly overwhelm the outer walls. there are only 2 crossbowmen on the inner walls firing at the goblins. Crossbowmen on the walls keep leaping down and dieing, enitre squad and replacements dead. A lot of pregress was made opening and closng the west gate on goblins. a number got inside however and the infantry keeps attacking one at a time. Dow nto one adult and 6 kids. The adult is hiding in the temple praying. And the goblins overrun the fort.

Analysis
We shouldn't have started letting goblins in. Need to find a away to keep the sqads togeather.
