Automated Turrets
  • All crew will be in the hull for better protection.
  • Turret remote will be controlled, load faster, store ammo more efficiently
  • Smaller and less armored turret means reduced mass for tank.

    Stealth

  • Low profile, low visual target
  • Radar absorbsion.
  • Active camofluage, invisible to visual and electronic sensors.

    Armor Improvements

  • Gunless: Cannon replaced with missiles. No turret required, 360 degree fire.
  • Electromagnetic-armor deforms and reshapes plasma jet from incoming round to dissipate it before it passes through the armor. Requires lots of power. Reduces weight from 70 tons to 20. Current Armor weight 80lb/sq ft.
  • Active defense system: shoots down incoming missiles (Light vehicles only). Ineffective vs shells. TROPHY. Russian Arena-e engages missile 70-700m/s.
  • ECM: decoys, smoke, infrared and laser jamming, electro-optical to disrupt missile tracking.

    Weapons

  • New 140mm gun: autoloaded, caseless, 2300m/s vs existing 120mm 2100m/s.
  • Liquid propellent to increase velocity.
  • Electricly enhanced explosives raise velocity to 3000m/s. (current 10MJ of power). ie Plasma driven
  • Railguns. Limited to 6000m/s in atmosphere.
  • Gunless: Cannon replaced with missles. No turret required, 360 degree fire.
